Botany Bay update
Botany Bay is now clasified as a dog free zone April to September. The beach
between and to the west of the main(holidaymakers) beach, but before the
cliff top pumping station is most suitable for launching and kiting.Strong
northerly wind create a reasonable surf and great kiting but beware the
beach is cut off at high tide but there is a steep slope in the chalk cliff
you can scramble up and down and you are not fasr from Margate Roads a
comercial shipping holding area for vessels awiting Thames estury
pilots.I,myself, live on the cliff top 70 mtrs from the cliff face
overlooking the main beach. There is a free car park at the bottom of Botany
Road by the slope to the main beach-for those with sat nav CT10 3RX but
don't block my gates!
